An amazing value for the price, Gonet Medeville is full bodied and has flavors reminiscent of Meyer lemon, oatmeal and peach. A blend of mostly Chardonnay with elements of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, it is a great choice to get the palate started with an aperitif.
La Petite Marquise Cremant de Loire Rose’s fine, long lasting bubbles are remarkably lively, and come from being stored for at least a year before being disgorged. Fresh yet subtle on the palate, the fruit harvested to make each bottle comes from vines that are matured at 20 - 30 years.
A blend of a floral chardonnay and a fruity cabernet franc, La Petite Marquise Cremant de Loire Brut provides a lingering taste of fresh peaches and pear.
Pressed from grapes grown on the hills of Veneto, Lamberti Prosecco is lively and crisp, with a long lasting acidity and finish.
The benchmark for rose champagne, Laurent Perrier’s Cuvee Rose is mixed for fragrance rather than color. Intensely fruity and a little bit sharp, this pick brings forth flavors of strawberries, cherries, black currants, and raspberries. There’s a reason why this one is George’s favorite!
Ca’Del Bosco wows with rich flavors of brioche and lemon that pair beautifully with delicate bubbles. This creates a creamy but acidic champagne from the Franciacorta region of Italy.
This vintage is a classic champagne gold, drawing you in with scents of almond, cashew and florals. Once Pol Roger Vintage, 2013 opens in the glass, you are treated to flavors of white flowers and fresh pastry, a complex blend you’ll be anxious to stock up on.
Like most things, it’s hard to find Cristal and Dom Perignon because of supply chain issues. If you’re looking to indulge anyways, Pol Roger Sir Winston Churchill Cuvee, 2012 makes a fantastic alternative. This champagne is structured and robust, elegant and subtle. The exact recipe is a well guarded family secret, but it is a precise blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
If none of these picks are piquing your interest, don't worry! Come on in to the store, and we'll be happy to show you our wider champagne selection. Cheers!
